Falling into Fall

For some reason this year, I'm really getting into Fall crafts and decorating.
I've had a lot of fun and hope there's lots more to come!
Here are a few of my doings thus far...

Wreath for Dad.
Yes, I know the image quality is not the best,
but I think you get the idea...

Wreath for Mom.
The colors are really nice in the sunlight!

Pumpkins for the front door.
Super cute and super fun to make!

Next on the dockette...painting mini pumpkins & carving a big one with my nephew!
I cannot wait to see his face when he digs into those pumpkin guts
and gets messy with the paint. ;o)

Happy Halloween!!

Crochet Rags

Terry crocheted some rags to use around the house.  She will tell you more soon.  - Leah

Flower Quilt

Terry made a fabulous flower quilt so I'm going ahead and posting the picture until she writes about it.  :o) - Leah

Party Treats

We hosted a Silpada jewelry party last weekend at Mom's house. We were so proud of our party treats that we took a couple of pictures. Rachel made scrumptious strawberry muffins. I made spinach dip and brought chips to dip with. Gram put together the fruit tray and strawberry cup in addition to peanut butter dates. Rachel will have to share more about her cupcakes with you. Everything was a hit and the ladies really enjoyed our treats. ;o)

More Clipboards

I finally finished three more clipboards. I like the teal one the best so far. I think it is because I like how the letters on the name coordinate so well with the rest of it. ;o) I have plenty of supplies to make more but I need to buy more clipboards. I will keep updating as I create more. So far each one is unique and that is the way I plan to keep it. - Leah

Reese's Quilt

This one was definitely a group effort! I wanted to make my son a quilt and definitely wanted it to be in the blue family. Of course, Mom and Rae, helped me through the entire process. We took this one to a lady to have it quilted and she was able to make a Noah's Ark design with the quilting. I love the colors and detail of this quilt and Reese loves it, too! - Leah

School Spirit Shirt

I have transfered to a new school and decided I wanted to make myself a custom school spirit shirt.  I'm not sure why I decided I wanted to do this but I did.  I remembered the cute sorority shirts from my college days (not that I owned one) and decided to search for ideas.  I came across some similar to what I wanted on etsy and Facebook so I told Mom that we were going to attempt to create my vision.  Rachel helped me pick the font for the letters and Mom guided me through the whole process.  I am pleased with it and can't wait to wear it at my new school! - Leah

Altered Clipboards

I saw some cute altered clipboards on a web site and decided to give it a go myself.  I have since become addicted to buying cute scrapbook paper for future clipboards.  I also want to make one for every teacher friend I have but that can add up to some serious cash so I am trying to pace myself.  ;o)

Before I actually attempted the project, I researched a little on the internet to try to come up with the best plan of action and this is the website that I liked the best.

Here are pictures of the first two that I made.  I will post more pictures as I finish more. - Leah

Quick & Easy Pincushion

I was browsing the web for free patterns one day when I ran into this from Heather Bailey. Naturally I had to make one and this is what I came up with...

I was absolutely pleased with the outcome! Not too shabby for a first try eh? ;o)

Folk Dance

Anna Maria Horner is an amazing artist! Her fabric designs and sewn creations are whimsy, colorful, and full of fun. All that she does is delicious to my eyes and an inspiration to my imagination. With that said, we came across her Folk Dance quilt a while back, I believe it was towards the end of last year, and I loved it so much I wanted to try it out. This is our take on her pattern...

The link to this pattern is below along with the link to Anna Maria's blog. Happy creating!

Sleepy Heads

Now I lay me down to sleep.  I pray the Lord my soul to keep.  If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.  Prayer said.  Little heads cradled in pillowcases full of love.  Enjoy Seoul - Terry

Seoul Sisters

Two precious litte girls head out to Seoul with their Mom to spend the next two years supporting their Dad as he defends our Great County.  What better way to remember the warm hearts of family and friends all the way back in Texas than with two pint-sized quilts.  Our prayers go with you - Hugs Terry
