A couple of weeks ago Mom, Reese, Kylie and I went to the Bay Area Quilt Show. It was a small quilt show held in Mont Belvieu and it got us warmed up for the big one in Houston in November. While we were there, Mom spotted some cute yo yo animals. She quickly decided that she needed to make her grandchildren yo yo animals and let Reese pick which animal he wanted. He chose an elephant. GiGi quickly purchased the pattern and another yo yo maker and got to work. (I told you in the previous post that she has been busy and is cranking out the yo yos.)
Below is Reese's elephant. (Rachel is the creative photographer on this project.)
GiGi has now decided that Kylie needs a yo yo monkey. I'm sure that pattern and material will be purchased by the end of the weekend. I know that they will love their animals for Christmas and especially when they realize how special it is that their GiGi made them with love just for them. - Leah

Christmas in August
Terry has been super busy cranking out yo yos lately. She started by making one wall hanging using some of her boyfriend's mother's old buttons and has quickly managed to turn that in to six wall hangings. Not all of them have vintage buttons but they are all beautiful and unique. I can't wait to get mine to hang in my house for my family to enjoy. I know it will be around for many Christmases to come.

Covered in Love
I can't wait for this Texas weather to cool down so I can cover myself in love. ;o) My mom bought me Anna Maria Horner fabric for Christmas and she decided it was time that we turn it in to a quilt. She, Gram and Rachel pieced the front and I helped piece the back. Mom's friend, Lucy, quilted it for us. You might remember that she did Kyle's quilt for us, too. She did a great job and I love the way this turned out! We are slowly, but surely, making sure each member of our family has their own quilt. - Leah

Wipes Cases
Terry insisted that Rachel and I needed cute wipes cases for our diaper bags. I'm glad that she did. ;o)
Mine is the zebra and Rachel's is the cute bird material. I helped design them by picking out the coordinating ribbons and button embellishments. Terry actually assembled them both with her scissors and hot glue gun. Great job GiGi!
